Tiger Trailers backs brighter futures for young people in Crewe

One of Cheshire’s leading manufacturers, Tiger Trailers, is investing in the future of young people across Crewe and Cheshire East by becoming the latest Founder Patron of The Dome Youth Zone.

The Winsford-based company has joined a growing family of businesses helping to bring The Dome to life, providing vital annual funding that will support the running of the state-of-the-art youth facility when it opens later this year.

Tiger Trailers has a long history of investing in young people. Alongside its apprenticeship programme, which has helped launch careers in engineering and manufacturing for more than a decade, the company also delivers free road safety education through its Tiger Safety Team and supports a range of community initiatives across the region.

Speaking about the partnership, Alison Cartwright, Corporate Social Impact and Community Engagement Manager at Tiger Trailers, said:

“One of the most enjoyable parts of my role at Tiger is seeing the genuine commitment we have in supporting community projects. Becoming a Founder Patron of The Dome Youth Zone is an exciting next step in Tiger’s future, particularly as it will be supporting young people achieve their full potential.

“With our apprenticeship scheme, the HGV road safety programme and our other community-based involvements such as The King’s Trust, Tiger is already supporting those next generations. The addition of The Dome Youth Zone fits perfectly for us, especially around access, removing barriers and empowering young people with life skills, confidence and inspiration.

“It is so vital to support young people today. They’re the next decision-makers, marketers, engineers, charity workers, NHS staff and teachers. It’s of great importance that we give them the best start.”

By supporting The Dome, Tiger Trailers is helping to ensure thousands of local young people have access to a place where they can feel safe, make friends, access trusted support and realise their potential.

Stuart Manifould, CEO of The Dome Youth Zone, said:

“Tiger Trailers has a fantastic reputation for investing in people, whether that’s through developing apprentices, supporting schools or creating opportunities within its own workforce. Becoming a Founder Patron shows that commitment extends far beyond its business.

“Young people don’t all start from the same place, but every young person deserves the chance to succeed. The Dome will provide somewhere they can feel safe, make friends, build confidence, learn new skills and discover talents they never knew they had.

“Businesses like Tiger Trailers aren’t simply helping us open the doors. They’re helping to shape the future of Crewe. Their investment will create opportunities for thousands of young people for many years to come, and we’re incredibly grateful to have them alongside us on that journey.”
