Crewe is a town full of potential—but too many young people are being held back. In the central wards, 31% are growing up in poverty, facing barriers that limit their chances to thrive. The Dome Youth Zone is here to change that. It’s more than a building—it’s a game-changer. A space designed to unlock opportunities, inspire ambition, and level the playing field for young people across the town.
Staffed by passionate, skilled youth workers who believe in what young people can achieve, The Dome will offer the support, guidance, and encouragement they need to aim higher and dream bigger. With first-class youth work delivered in a world-class facility, open seven days a week, our charity will provide life-changing experiences for thousands of young people from all backgrounds—helping them build confidence, gain skills, and shape a brighter future for themselves and for Crewe.
How you can help
In order to offer young people the opportunities and guidance they truly deserve, we need support from those who want to make a difference. In the years ahead, The Dome Youth Zone is something that everyone can get involved with as volunteers, fundraisers, staff, mentors and more – something we can all be proud of for years to come.
Right now, during our construction phase, we’re looking to connect with local businesses and local leaders to help establish the Youth Zone.

Facing the facts
The young people of Crewe are up against significant challenges outside of their control. If unaddressed, these challenges could have a direct impact on their future, preventing them from discovering their passions and purpose, and reaching their full potential.

- Long-term unemployment is almost twice the national average
- 31% of young people based in the central wards in Crewe are living in poverty
The cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated many of these challenges. We know that having safe, affordable, and high-quality spaces to meet outside of school helps young people feel less isolated, gain confidence, and improve their health and sense of belonging. We know that if we don’t address these factors, there is a negative impact on a young person’s life trajectory. That’s where The Dome comes in.
Our Youth Zone will be a positive force that will work tirelessly to counter the barriers Crewe’s young people face. Its mix of state-of-the-art facilities, dedicated youth workers and engaging activities will offer new possibilities and ambition to our community’s young people.
